Wigan will be looking to maintain their proud home record against Salford when the two sides do battle on Sunday.

The Reds have never beaten their opponents at the DW Stadium and have not got the better of the Warriors since a Challenge Cup tie back in 2006.

The Cherry and Whites go into the game off the back of a semi-final triumph over arch-rivals St Helens, although their victory came at a price.

Liam Farrell picked up an ankle injury in the game at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and is sidelined, meaning Gareth Hock - who was left out of the final 17 to face Saints - could be recalled to the pack.

Chris Tuson (knee) is also ruled out, while coach Michael Maguire has opted to rest prop Jeff Lima and half-back Paul Deacon.

Salford have no new injury concerns as they look to keep their slender play-off hopes alive with a shock result on their travels.

They currently sit in 10th spot in the table, three back of eighth-placed Hull, but new coach Matt Parish has yet to see his team win since arriving from Australia.

Sean Gleeson is available again after an injury lay-off and has been included in the visitors' 19-man squad.

The fixture had initially been scheduled to take place on Friday night but was pushed back due to Wigan's Premier League clash with Norwich on the Saturday.
