Title winner: Manchester United. Hard to look beyond the 19-times winners after their summer transfer activity.

Top four: United, Chelsea, City and Arsenal. Liverpool and Tottenham remain just outside the elite.

Relegated: Wigan, QPR, Blackburn.

Surprise package: West Brom. Flourished under Roy Hodgson and could impress further.

Championship winner: Leicester. With Sven-Goran Eriksson at the helm and money to spend, they could be the team to beat.

Champions League winner: Barcelona. The way they took United apart at Wembley in May was simply stunning.

Top scorer: Darren Bent. Not the most glamorous selection, but the Villa forward is a regular source of goals.

Player of the year: Luis Suarez. Superb at times for Liverpool following his January arrival.

Best young gun: Connor Wickham. England Under-21 striker should be given opportunities to shine with Sunderland.

Biggest flop: Charlie Adam. I like him as a player, but just not sure how he will fit in at Liverpool.

Best buy: It may take him time to settle, but Sergio Aguero is a real star-quality signing.

Sack race winner: Neil Warnock. Probably through no fault of his own, but the owners at Loftus Road look trigger-happy.

Holding a 2-0 lead after comprehensive wins at Lord's and Trent Bridge, England came into the match knowing another victory would seal both series honours and see them overhaul India at the top of the Test rankings.
